Security

When reading specially crafted (scratched) discs and copy-protected media, the parameter that we are interested in is the end time of the read operation.  The shorter the better.  The following tests also show how well the tested drive can copy protected discs.  The latest available version of CloneCD was used for the testing.

For the testing we will try to make copies of the following discs:

1. Scratched pressed CD (read time: 00:02:41)
2. Scratched recorded CDR (read time: 00:02:47)
3. Colin McRae Rally disc with SecuRom protection (read time: 00:02:30)
4. Warrior Kings Protected with SafeDisc2 (read time: 00:53:16)

In all successful cases, we will record the time.  For the first two discs with only a scratched surface, we use the DataCD copy profile.  For the other two discs, we choose Protected PC Game.
