Veeam 13.1.2 fixes VM recovery from tape
The update also fixes file recovery to Ubuntu 26.04.
Veeam released Backup & Replication 13.1.2.57 on October 27. The update fixes errors blocking VM recovery from tape and file recovery to Ubuntu 26.04.
Changes
- Tape: fixed restore-point lists failing to open after 15 minutes with a very large tape catalog, blocking Entire VM Restore.
- Ubuntu 26.04: fixed file recovery using a non-root account when Veeam failed to recognize the sudo-rs privilege-elevation prompt.
To restore a VM from tape, users select the machine and a restore point, representing the backup state at a particular time. If required tapes are offline, Veeam lists the media that must be made available.
Restoring files to Linux using a non-root account requires privilege elevation to be configured for that account so that Veeam can run operations with administrator privileges.
