O&O DiskImage 23.1 fixes GPT data-disk restore targets
O&O DiskImage backs up entire PCs, selected drives and individual files. A system-drive backup includes Windows, installed applications and settings.
O&O DiskImage 23.1.26049 makes GPT data disks available as restore targets again while Windows is running. Previously, the software required a restart into its recovery environment for these restores too.
The update was released on October 21, 2026.
Changes
- Restored files retain their original creation and modification dates.
- Startup media can also be created on USB sticks without a partition table or on devices that reject conventional partitioning.
A running Windows installation still cannot be restored while it is in use. System recovery uses the recovery environment. Starting the computer from previously created bootable media, such as a USB stick, allows an existing backup to be selected for restoration.
