Comet 26.10.0 brings backup folders to Linux
The quarterly release also includes restoring data directly to remote or cloud storage.
Comet Backup 26.10.0 Epimetheus was released on October 27. The quarterly release includes recovery features already available in the rolling Voyager branch: restoring data to cloud storage and opening file backups as folders on Linux.
Changes
Compared with the previous quarterly release, 26.7.3:
- Recovery destination: restored data can be written directly to remote or cloud storage. Previously, restores wrote data to the device's local disk.
- Linux: the Comet Backup app can mount a File and Folder backup snapshot as a read-only folder. Files are downloaded from the backup storage only when opened.
